BIOGRAPHY

Education
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in percussion performance at Escuela Superior de Música, being awarded with academic honors by the institution. He has obtained 2 diplomas on advanced studies on percussion released by the Centro Nacional de las Artes and the Mexican percussion ensemble Tambuco.
He has studied with national and international percussionists such as Antonio Fuentes, Gabriela Jimenez, Raul Tudón, Ricardo Gallardo (México), Claudia Oliveira (Brazil), Ian Bernard (Canada), Robert Van Sice, Kevin Bobo, (USA), Martin Parra (España), Magnus Ostrom (Sweden), Kuniko Kato and Riho Shibuya (Japan).
In 2008, he takes part as a member of the jury in “rescatARTE”, a social program launched by the government.
Discography
He takes part in the recording of a double CD with CENART’s Chamber Orchestra conducted by Roberto Beltran, and produced by Jorge Torres Saenz, for the label Quindecim Records. This CD contains contemporary music from Mexican composers, such as: Georgina Derbez, Alejandro Romero, Mario Lavista, and Jorge Torres, among others.
Performances
He has performed in a variety of national renowned recital halls, such as: Palacio de Bellas Artes, Teatro de las Artes, Auditorio Blas Galindo, Guanajuato’s Teatro Juarez and Teatro Principal, and Teatro Principal de Monterrey. He also has played with CENART’s chamber orchestra, Bellas Artes chamber orchestra, Teatro de Bellas Artes chamber orchestra., humanicorp company of dance, el farfullero company of theater and national company of theater, being invited by some of them to perform as a soloist. He also has taken part in the representation of Carmina Burana at the National Auditorium, and Das Rheingold by Richard Wagner at Palacio de Bellas Artes. Likewise, he has played in “Festivales XVI, XIX del Centro Histórico, Callejón del Ruido, Cervantino en Guanajuato, Festival Música y Escena de la UNAM, Festival de Arte Sonoro del CENART, Foro de Música Nueva and Wereld Muziek Theater Festival.
International Performances
He has played in a number of recitals and concerts in France (Paris), Germany (Berlin) Netherlands (Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Maastritcht, Leiden, Hengelo, Groningen), Italy (Udine), and Belgium (Antwerpen).
In 2006, in the context of the Wereld Muzik Theater Festival, he went on tour performing in some of the most important concert halls in the Netherlands such as the Vrijthof Stadsschowburg De Regentes, Rabotheater, Zuiderpershuise In Italy he played at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine, UK London Globe Shakespeare, Macedonia, Bitola and Colombia, Bogotá.
Projects
Currently, he participates in several musical and multidisciplinary projects. Some of these proyects are RAGA percussion ensemble, FRACTAL electroacoustics and percussion ensemble, TEMPUS FUGIT ensemble.
